David B. Tatge, PLLC, is pleased to announce that this Spring its principal, David B. Tatge, has again been selected as both a Super Lawyer in Virginia for business litigation and rated AV, Pre-eminent, in the Judicial Edition of Martindale Hubbel.

Super Lawyers, part of Thompson Reuters, rates outstanding lawyers annually on a state-by-state basis in more than seventy practice areas based on peer nominations and evaluations together with independent research. No more than 5% of lawyers in a given state and practice area receive these awards.

Martindale-Hubbell has been rating attorneys annually for more than 130 years based on legal ability and ethical standards. A rating of AV, the highest of several award levels, is offered to approximately 10% of attorneys who have been practicing more than 10 years and recognizes the recipient as having the highest levels of legal ability and professional ethics in the opinion of peers and clients. Inclusion in the Judicial Edition reflects favorable opinions in these areas by members of the judiciary as well.

In other news, on January 31, 2024, the law firm filed a Brief For David B. Tatge, As Amicus Curiae Supporting Respondents in the litigation styled Donald J. Trump vs. Norma Anderson, et. al., Case No. 23-719, Supreme Court of the United States. The Petition before the Supreme Court of the United States addressed by the brief concerned the validity of the December, 2023 ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court below which, reversing the Colorado trial court, held that former President Donald J. Trump was ineligible to be on the Presidential ballot in Colorado under Colorado law and Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
