NO LEGAL ADVICE OR ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
The Law Firm’s website provides information of general interest to the public. The Site does not offer legal advice about specific situations or problems. You should consult Mr. Tatge or some other lawyer, at another law firm, if you have legal issues requiring attention. Nothing on this site creates an express or implied contract. The Law Firm does not intend to create an attorney-client relationship by inviting you to contact us. Unless and until we and you agree, in a written engagement letter signed by both of us, that we will represent you in a particular matter, we will not have any duties to you, including any duty to keep what you send us confidential or any duty to protect your interests. This means that nothing you send us will be kept confidential, unless we mutually agree that we will keep it confidential.
PRIOR RESULTS/NO GUARANTEE, WARRANTY OR PREDICTION
This Site describes in summary form certain of the matters that the Firm and/or Mr. Tatge has worked on in the past, including at prior law firms. Past legal successes described on this website or in other communications between you and the Law Firm are not indicators of future results. The outcome of any particular legal matter is dependent upon both the facts and the law applicable to the matter and, in the case of litigation, to the vagaries and uncertainties of the litigation process, including judicial and juror temperment. NOTHING HEREIN OR IN ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION BETWEEN YOU AND THE LAW FIRM IS INTENDED TO BE NOR CONSTITUTES A GUARANTEE, WARRANTY OR PREDICTION REGARDING THE OUTCOME OF YOUR PARTICLAR MATTER.
LIMITATON OF PERSONAL LIABILITY
The Law Firm is a Virginia professional limited liability company. The personal liability of its sole member, Mr. David B. Tatge, is limited to the extent allowed by applicable professional rules, regulations and statutory law.
DESIGNATION OF PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS WEBSITE
Professional rules and regulations in some jurisdictions where the Law Firm practices may require it to designate a lawyer responsible for the contents of this website. Solely for the purpose of these rules, the Law Firm designates David B. Tatge as the lawyer responsible for this website.
ATTORNEY ADVERTISING
This website includes attorney advertising. Hiring a lawyer is an important decision which should not be based solely upon legal advertisements. Prior results in any particular matter or case do not guarantee or predict similar outcomes in any future case or matter. Case and matter results depend upon a variety of factors and also the law unique to each particular situation.

It is an increasingly common occurrence that grifters and other bad characters sometimes use a law firm’s name or a lawyer’s name for illegal and fraudulent activity, such as scams utilizing emails, the telephone, the U.S. mail or other methods. As a further example, counter-fit checks are sometime sent to, or purportedly from, a law firm which is being attacked by the grafter.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for the Law Firm to monitor or prevent “phishing,” “spoofing” and other fraudulent schemes which may improperly employ the name or identity of the Law Firm or its lawyers. The Law Firm is not responsible for third party misconduct of this nature or for any damages to persons which arise from such misconduct. To protect yourself:
Please report any suspected suspicious or fraudulent use of the name of the Law Firm or its lawyers to relevant criminal, postal and other governmental authorities, as well as to the Law Firm, by both (i) a letter to David B. Tatge, David B. Tatge, PLLC, 13000 Grey Friars Place, Oak Hill, VA 20171 and (ii) email to dtatge@tatgelawpllc.com. You can also call the Law Firm at 703-991-6087.
